My New Painting

Finally got around to finishing a painting. It took me a while to get an image in mind that I actually wanted to see to fruition. Not quite sure I'm finished yet, I feel like I want to add something else, another element. EDIT: I've taken the picture down for the moment just because Corey mentioned that I might not be able to enter it in the Arts and Letters competition if it's been shown publically. Once I get a response from the co-ordinator I'll put it back up :)

Town Square

Well, here's print number two in the Bell Island series. Not as much activity going on here as in the last one, but I'm still pretty happy with it. I think the next one will be a bit more exciting.

Orange Lodge

I've been at St. Michael's Printshop for two weeks now and this is what I've managed to crank out so far. The first in a series of "yesterday/today" Bell Island prints. A little depressing, but that's how she goes. Again, I'll let you figure out which is which. It's also my first attempt at a spraypaint aquatint, and I'm happy with how it turned out. No rosin box at St. Mike's. Comments welcome!

Smokers

This was drawn from a photo Missy took at a wrap party back at
Grenfell.

This was drawn from some magazine or another. The head growin' out of a head thing just happened.

these are a couple of photos I did recently while trying to come up with album cover ideas for my upcoming album "Red Flags & Cold Milk". I got the literal and more thematic approaches on the go here, I might combine them the next time I get around a computer with adobe on it. what do you think?.

some of you have seen this already but for those that haven't here is the piece I have in the eastern edge members show right now. I'm pretty happy with it.

Pin-In Gallery

Hey, it's been a while since the last post...
Anyway, here's my submission for Eastern Edge's Pin-In Gallery -- my tribute to old-timey slang. It will be on display just outside the gallery in January, I think. If selected, you get $50 and ten pins; more buttons will be sold at the gallery. E-mail your submissions to Michelle (egallery@nfld.net).
