TurtleFinger

This is a improvised comic Jennifer and I did at Tim Hortons. We traded off panel for panel and just did it all on the fly. Take a peak....it's....uh....sublime.

Spleen Liveth

I started making these 3 panel strips about a year and half ago with the intention of trying to get them published, but then sort of lost interest. I still like some of them though, and I feel bad just letting them collect dust, so I'm gonna post them here.

Done

Cow #16, Bell Island

That's it! Done just before we had to vacate the studio digs. The spots made for a pretty dramatic change, after all. I'd like to try some more paintings in this flattish style, but also explore some different subject matter.
This is the first time I've documented something so thoroughly; I'm going to try to keep that up in the future.

Joe Sacco

Joe Sacco has created an 8-page comic for The Guardian about two Iraqis accusing US troops of torture. It's quite good. (Image stolen from BoingBoing).

Still In Progress

Alrighty, here she is after about four sessions. As you can see, I'm keeping it rather flat (this won't be much of a surprise to some of you). I don't think it will change dramatically now before it's finished, but who knows. Still gotta get those spots on there. I'll post the final painting (hopefully later next week). Any comments before then are welcome, as always.

Don't forget about the Arts & Letters and Provincial Procurement deadlines at the end of the week!

Make up your mind

My dog loved to get in the car but hated driving anywhere.

Having a go at oil

Well, here's my first attempt at an oil painting in about three years or so. It may turn into something I enjoy, or end in total disaster. It's basically just of a photo I took this summer that I really like. Giant cow on Bell Island. I may post another image or two before it's finished.

Number 3 in the series.

The top, old-timey image looking a little more geometric this time.

Further Doodlings

Drew this during some incredibly boring and unproductive class or another.

Anybody besides me ever read that Dr. Seuss book Did I ever tell you how lucky you are?
