Still paintin'

I'm still going with the comic paintings; here's the latest. I think it's about 18" x 24", oil on some canvas-like mystery cloth. I start out by projecting my image:

(looking a bit paint-by-numbers-ish)
And then I go ahead and fill it in. This one's looking a bit too yellow here:

I still don't know if I want to be consistant and paint the entire panels including the borders (like the first two), or play around with composition, like with the one above, where I zoomed in a bit. Anyway, I'll be sure to post more as they're completed.

I like the look of these with the brush line. Kinda Charles Schultz.

I like these paintings you are doing from your comics quite a bit. I'm with Dave on the brush line - it looks great. I like the simplicity of them too.

How large are these?

I know that you are experimenting with composition, and not simply reproducing entire panels, but have you considered re-producing an entire comic strip with small canvases as the panles? I think it would be rather cool. You could experiment with size and placement of panels, and the end result would be very cool and quite desirable for a living room wall (which I mean as a complete compliment).
