Well, I knew I had to put myself out there if I was going make my art really meaningful. It's true! Those bastards were never welcoming at all, hogging the big table in the library at lunch, playing this mysterious game that required no board... I was curious, to say the least.
They were obviously a type of nerd I call "jerk nerds." They have a something called "nerd machismo."
I'm somewhat of a student of nerds,which is in itself pretty nerdy. Needless to say, my gig teaching CG has afforded me many opportunities to study them.
I've also discovered "stonerds" and another type of nerd that I don't have a label for yet. They're like, the nerds who are actually smart and hard-working. I'm thinking "useful nerds," or "classic nerds." I dunno.

I used to love the Nerds Blizzards at Dairy Queen, but they don't make 'em any more.
