Stop-motion

Well, lately I've been trying a bit of stop-motion animation. I've just been using my digital camera stills and a free program I found called MonkeyJam. Click on the image above to see my test video. This is the longest one I've done so far, haha.

Heheh. Just couldn't give us the satisfaction of that last piece could you?

Does anyone else remember those fucking trippy stop-motion sand animations on Sesame Street? They were always set to like, harmonica and banjo music and they ruled.

I can't quite remember the SS animations you're talking about Dave...
You remember the ones from Pee Wee's Playhouse fridge? I rented some Pee Wee DVDs last year, they were superfantastic. Loads of stop-motion in there.

Yea I can kinda remember the fridge animation now that you mention it. He also had tiny stop-motion dinosaurs living in the walls of his living room, didn't he?

mekka-lekka-hi, maekka hi-ny-hoh

I forgot about that guy! I loved that segment too! I don't know how they did the glass thing, Melissa!

This thing didn't take too long. It's only about 54 pics. The worst part was having to brighten up the jpgs in photoshop because it was too dark. I chose all blue peices so it would be really easy.
I tried to do an abriged version of Animal Farm a few days ago, but my battery died after about 50 shots. Next time I'm gonna try something with an actual script, haha.

Haha, brings back memories of making a stop-motion movie in grade school - I built a lego model of John Cabot's ship The Matthew, complete with PIRATES. Fun stuff!

Can't wait to see Animal Farm....
