"How to Pitch to an Entertainment Writer"

http://towniebastard.blogspot.com/2005/10/how-to-pitch-part-1.html
Well, I just found this neat 5-parter on the Townie Bastard blog. It's by former NL reporter Craig Welsh who's now living in Iqaluit, Nunavut, for some reason.
Anyway, he offers up some really good tips on promoting your work, be it music, dance, painting, or whatever. He seems to know what he's talking about.
For parts 2-5, you have to scroll down and look for the links on the right-hand side.

Hey Jennifer, do you think we can get any of the tumbleweeds to post?
Seriously, where are all the lively debates and shit? Don't tell me I'm the only one who has a job that involves sitting around doing nothing most of the time...

qzkudl (sounds like the mayan god of war if you say it a certain way)

Hehehe, I hear you Dave. I could send out some threatening e-mails, or start posting my porno comics, perhaps...
I'd love to see more work up here by anybody, even if it's just doodles on a napkin.
Maybe I'll just send out a friendly e-mail, for starters.

Okay, I admit that I'm a bit slack with the commenting and definitely with the posting. But I do have some art to post on here soon (!!!!!!). Yes, real art, and not just knitted GameCube cozies, and stuff like that. Though, I've got to say I'm into the practical arts a lot more these days (is a gaming system warmer practical?).
