As per my previous e-mail, Yann Martel is having a contest to find an illustrator for the new edition of Life of Pi. You only have to submit one drawing by December 10th, and the prize is 5000 pounds. Not that I want the competition, but check out the details: LINKTuesday, November 01, 2005

Actually, Dave, the contest requires one completed illustration to get on the short list. Then there are 5 sketches to be reviewed, not fully rendered illo's.
Even still, 6 drawings for a possible 10 grand seems pretty reasonable. :)
Don't encourage him, Keating, that's one less competitor to worry about =)
